This has nothing to do with this mod...just thinking. Could you plug a hose, post turbo, and have it shoot air in from a compressor? Thats all the turbo does anyways right? I'm sure theres some kind of back-fire from doing this but just wondering what it is.

i moded my own with a 5 cent resistor and gaind about 30 HP for my early 99..the 99.5-03 will gain maybe 25HP..its a simple mod to do..the the OBS and early 99 has the 110V IDM the 99.5-03 has a 120V IDM..putting in this resistor makes them a 140V IDM.. what it does is it opens the injector sooner for a faster and little bigger shot of fuel..it does make the go peddle a little touchy....i can post a how too from another site if your intrested..

here is the inside of the IDM..you pull out the 6042 resistor thats in this pic and solder in a new resitor..the resistor you put in depends on witch IDM you have,,the 110 or 120...

To convert IDM 120 to 140 you need a 73.2k ohm resistor. .5w 1%.

Digi-Key - PPC73.2KXCT-ND (Manufacturer - SFR16S0007322FR500)

If you come up with an old IDM 100 or 110, they both take a 75k.

Digi-Key - PPC75.0KXCT-ND (Manufacturer - SFR16S0007502FR500)

How do I tell which IDM I have? Isn't there another way you can do it outside of the IDM? I've never heard of those size resistors being used. I've heard like 10k for the basic, but some others have gotten better results from 14.7k
