got it. i have a question about that. my 2000 7.3l shut off as i was driving down the road. i tried after i pulled over to restart the truck and it would only crank over but not start. a friend of mine who has a 6.0 psd. came and told me about that sensor. we disconnected it to see if it was the sensor or the hpop and it started normally but after a random time it will just turn off. like i turned it off with the key. what would be your best guess. the hpop or pressure regulator. or should i just replace both at the same time

what sensor did you unplug?

you should read the CPS thread.

Cam Position Sensor does go bad, so often there is a recall on them. keep a spare or two around.
