Injector Drive Module (IDM) Trouble

Hey guys after I thought I had my truck all fixed up I've gotten intermittent IDM problems. The truck will sometimes start and run fine, then all of the sudden (usually at idle) start running like crap. I hooked up my scanner to it and determined it was the IDM. Any thought on where to go from here?

Swap it with a know good IDM and see what it dose.

Is there anything I can do to avoid paying for a new IDM, I need it yesterday and I can't afford to buy one from ford.

I disagree put your bad one in sombodys truck and see if it follows.Sothing else may be wrong with your truck that burnt it up in the first place.No sense in killing 2 of them.

Look on ebay they are cheaper but you will have to wait a bit for it.

but the biggest killer of IDMs is ground or lack of it
this puppy has several grounds that must be met or acts like a bad guy
the most famous one is right behind the drivers battery on the inner fender
big fat GROUND that likes to come loose or be loosened when battery work or intake mods are done.
