Is it safe?

So I got a line on a real cheap 20 ft shipping container. It’s about 200 miles away. The trailer is a 7000lb 20ft deck-over

Car Hauler, Wood Floor, Deckover ATV Package, Johnson Trailer, Colfax Wisconsin

The two questions are.
1) how do I get it on the trailer without hauling something there to pick it up?
2) How safe is a 5000lb box going to be on a light deckover?

I'd think the trailer, being a car hauler, would be ample to haul the container..
You're going to have to figure out a way to tie or bolt it down, though.

As far as getting it on the trailer, a tractor with a bucket or a hi-lo maybe?

I have moved these with a flatbed car hauler, roll off type, and winched them on and dumped them off.

Your best bet is have a recker that has a steel rollback on it, lift it and set it on the trailer. Just put it on the trailer the way you plain on dropping it, meaning the doors. If you put a 2x4 under the back this will let you put so 1/2" or 1"water galv. pipe under it and it will roll off with some help.
