Greetings!!!!

First question: Is your truck an early 99, or a late build 99 usually refered to as a 99.5. I can't tell for sure by looking at your underhood pic, but to me it looks like an early 99.

You will find this an important question when it comes time to start modifing your ride. You can find out by looking for the build date on the sticker somewhere around the drivers door jam. The general cutoff date is 30 Nov 98. After that it's likely a 99.5.

Methinks it's a 99.5--the snorkel for the air intake comes in from the front of the grille and the PSD badges are on the door, not the front fenders.

Could you get the 6 spd in early 99?

You can't go by that. There was a TSB for early 99's a long time ago. The fix was to retro-fit the air box & filter to the 99.5 style. The reason I know is I had that TSB done under warranty. Later I went with a K&N filter, then to a Tymar and finally to a AIS.

PSD badges are on the door, not the front fenders.

Can't go by that either. Mine's an early 99 and I've got door badges too. You can see that in my webshots pics.
