Got a Question for though for anyone interested. A buddy of mine had a truck almost identical to what I have except 6 months newer. Last week it was totaled, broadsided in the rear, wanted to know if I'd like any parts off it. Now to the question, I'm considering pulling the engine and trans for spares or cores. What I'm wondering is what would be needed to run the engine on a stand? Some quick searching shows anything from " a few wires", which obviously cant be right to the "front 2/3 of the truck". I assume right off the top the PCM, IDM and associated wiring and a very good schematic, along with the frame mounted fuel pump. Anything else electrical or computer wise that would be needed to check for proper operation.
