It has four flat pads and four half-moon shaped pads, presumably for the second leaf directly under the top leaf mounting bolt. Enough to do the front and half the back...of course. Going to look into aftermarket pads just to be sure. The half-moons don't have a centering post underneath them, so it appears to me that they can work themselves out.

I'm more worried about how the springs are eating into eachother..."self-clearancing";)

From others experiences, they found that the grease lasts longer. New
plastic pieces just get cracked and spit out like the original. That is
why I use grease. I just wipe off the excess.

can someone provide a pic of this or snap one? I think i might be getting confused on where you spray the grease.

Near the ends of the leaf springs there is supposed to be these little plastic
separators that keep the springs from squeaking like an old buckboard. They
usually crack and fall out after 5 or so years, sometimes sooner.

I spray the grease in the crack between each leaf, then wipe away the extra. If it is
bad enough you can see the rust power where the springs are rubbing. A shot of
WD40 will last all summer or until it rains and gets everything wet.
