I have a guestion, since excursion lift kits are so expensive would an aal and

an F350 rear block make up 4 inches in the rear and a 2.5 in. leveling kit and

a front aal make up a 4 inch lift kit and would it be more cost efective?

Yes the lift kits are abit more than a set of springs but everything you need comes with the kit.

Upgrading the rear blocks to the F350's will gain just under 2".
The 2.5" leveling kit will give you just that.

When you lift 4" or more you'll need an Edge adjustable track bar to keep the front axle tracking with the rear straight.
You'll possibly need a drop pitman arm when you go 4"+

lift kit

So what your saying is the combination I have here will work for the 4" lift. I will have to get a drop pittman arm. Lift kits that I called about was only lift kit and shocks and nothing else. I already have an aal in the rear. How much taller is the 350 block from the excursion block?

Bring me up to speed as far as what an "aal" is as that must be a term used at a forum on the net.

To get 4" lift all the way around here's the combo I'd go with.
V code front springs plus an Edge Mini spring pack for the front.
Pick up a set of 6" blocks to replace the Excursion's 2" blocks so you'll have 4" total gain for the rear axle.

There's many other combo's other Excursion owners have went with due to they extreme off road and/or they tow regularly.

If you are looking for a cost effective way to elevate your Excursion check out Revtek. I had a Revtek 4" lift on our 2000 Excursion and I was very happy with it. Cost effective, good ride, quality product and simple install. The kit comes with EVERYTHING you need right down to the shocks and is less than half the price of the big boys..

aal is add a leaf. as far as revtek it was around 900. which is + or - 100. or so $$ from the other brands. I'm looking to spend not more than 500 by mixing and matching parts to get an 4" lift.

As with my Dodge pullin truck everything I do is custom and I'm just looking to see what custom lift kit work other people have done on their excursions

$900 .. must have went up. Mine was around 700 delivered to Alaska and everything else I was pricing was up at 1500+ and the fancy brand everyone was recommending was about $2500.

Most homegrown systems guys run on the Excursions are just Superduty springs and blocks.

OB NJ, land of traffic, stop lights, stop signs, a
if you wanna go cheap its really not gonna happen.... unless you just go with a body lift.... but if ya wanna try and piece it together on your own i would suggest going to a speed shop and ask them what would work together ect and of couse always support your local speed shops (sorry sponsers) , if the little guys werent around a lott of the hot rods wouldnt be either....
