Losing Coolant

To start off, My friends truck is a 2008 6.4 bone stock 70k miles.

For a while now it has been losing coolant, over a period of time. in about a week or so it will lose around a quart. There are no visual cues like puddles on the floor when parked for a while, or a smell of coolant.

Now i know that on a 6.0 this is probably the EGR, and i do know that the 6.4 have two. I guess international thought that since the first one was such a huge success they should add another one. (damn EPA)

So my best guess is that it is one of the EGRs. Let me know what you guys think.

With only 70K on it, I'd take it back to Ford and have the cooling system pressure checked.

i have an 08 with 27k. was loosing coolant dealer pressure tested it and replaced upper and lower radiator hoses said it was a recall item.... just an idea for you

In my case the radiator was leaking. Ford said there was a TSB on it and replaced the radiator. This was with 35K miles.

It turned out to be a radiator hose.
