anybody have any ideas on where best location is to put gauge sensor on a 6 speed tranny. everybody knows on a auto. might sound a little overkill but
too much heat in a tranny is still too much heat. any response would be welcomed.

welcome to the site, hope you enjoy... and don't take this the wrong way

$17 for a fitting???????

do they call you in the morning? or at least point a gun at ya?

i can't believe what is being charged for simple fittings... i wish we has a list of simple mods that could be found in the hardware store with sizes and part numbers.... to keep folks from getting raped

Tony, you can get a tapped transmission plug from dieselsite.com for $8.00
OR you can put in a trans filter and use the extra port in the base for the sender. Trans filter is something I beleive all transmisions, gear or auto should have.

i didn't say i would BUY it.... i said i would go that route.
with 17 yrs exp. in Tool & Die work (hint:USERNAME) don't buy many fittings.
i Make'em. but i know what you are saying and didn't take it the wrong way!!
but ya' know its good that people have stuff available so that average joe can place an order, get his stuff, turn the wrench a bit and be good to go without a big fuss!! if i buy a 17$ fitting, i will get info from someone on how to change air in my tires.
