Anybody using the Mobil Delvac 1 5w-40 synthetic? I saw it at wal mart for a decent price, was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. Using it summer? winter? year round? any oil analysis on it? Thanks a lot-

Be careful with ALL oils. They must be certified for diesel use. CI 4+ or better. I use Rotella 5W40 Syn and have been very happy with the oil. If Delvac meets the spec, use it.

I am ready to change the oil shortly in my 7.3, I will be trying the Delo 15w40. I am hoping I made a good choice by not staying with the Rotella 15w40??? I have to agree with Dave, if I was to go to a synthetic diesel oil, it would be Rotella 5w40.
