well, we use "high-rise packs" which is bundles of hose, a nozzle and sometimes a wye. in a big ole bag you can through on your shoulder, then you take it up and hook to standpipe, in something like that you don't run a piece of hose all the way to the top. i don't want to KNOW what kind of pressure they were putting into the standpipe at the bottom to try and get roughly 100psi at the top. rule of thumb is you loose 1 psi for every foot verticle and that looked pretty high up there!

I totally forgot about stand pipes. I was just trying to be a smart ass.

yup yup we have 4 story "high rise" old folks home here in our town, and a big old mill that all the wood and timbers are saturated in various petroleum/deadly chemicals we just sit and pray at night that it doesnt go up, in theory they are redoing the whole thing and making a nice town center out of it, community pool, bowling alley, small movie theatre, resturaunts, and 500 housing units. should be sweet if it ever happens
