Hey guys I got another question about the truck. I'm about to order new ball joints, o-rings, and dust seals. My question is: Are the o-rings, seals, bj's the same for all 99-03 or do I need to order something different for the early '99?

I believe they are the same. The only things different I'm aware of in that area of the truck are the bearing hubs and the brake rotor.

I believe you are correct, Sir..

just FWIW, the 2000's had an early and a late option for brakes as well.. ask Dennis. He knows more than he never wanted to know about the subject...

Look at the built date on the sticker on the drivers door jam. The magic date is about 12/7/98. Before then it's an early. After that, it's a 99.5.

OR-------------

Look at the compressor cover on the turbo.

If it has 4 bolts in a square pattern it's an early turbo & it's an early 99.

If it has 5 bolts in a star pattern, you have the later turbo and it's a 99.5 or later.
