OK......Last try.

Truck started dying when trying to accelerate from a stop. It seemed as if the truck was rolling it was ok, but from a dead stop it was Russian roulette whether it was going to stall or go.

Most of the time truck would start up and go on, but sometimes it would take two or three tries.

(2) New CPS's, (1) New ICP Sensor, (1) New Fuel pump, and (1) New Fuel filter and I only saw 2 days improvement with the ICP Sensor.

Today, when idling down a driveway in reverse and riding the brake, the idle falls off and the truck almost stalls then all of a sudden the idle surges high!

Another clue to an unsolved puzzle. Probably going to the stealership tomorrow night if no help here!!!

What happens when you program it back to stock and run it I had a buddy with the same symptoms you are describing, he has a diablo programmer which turned out to be his problem.

just for grins, did you loosen and retighten the ground for the idm thats just behind the under hood drivers side power distribution box?
its a big bundle of grounds 3 or 4 on one bolt.
my 7.3 was doing th esame thing except for the high idle, it was the idm ground wire

Code 0603 showed this morning.......I think that has something to do with the ICM????

I'll try the ground bolt under the dash now.......

I'm open for anything.

Powerboatr.....

I found the ground I think......

Right next to the power distribution "mess" under the hood on the driver's side mounted into the left front qtr panel. 3 grounds.......(2) Black/yellow, (1) Larger red/yellow.

I removed it and re-installed........I'll let you know after driving today.

Is there a way to check the TPS???? Shouldn't it throw a code if it's going south?

There is also a large RED ground behind the drivers side kick panel.

There is also one on the firewall, which I bumped one day on my truck and the ring broke off, you might check there.
