1) What is the purpose of having the STOCK setting on a multi positon chip?

2) I'm probably getting a 4 pos. What do you think my settings should be?
Keeping in mind I will have gauges. And I dont tow anything. Just looking to be a big kid on the block. 120 is about as hi as I want to go.

Thanks.

Do you plan on upgrading your transmission in the near future? 120hp will tear up a stock trans in no time I would think.

You got me - that was my same question back when I had my 7.3 Heck I couldn't even find enough settings for 4 positions. I went with a 75 daily, 75 towing and a 125 for fun.

Ive got a 6 pos from BDP with a couple programs by Twildman. I tow alot and play alot so this works out well for me, i have a setting for every situation. Heres what i got: high idle, econo, tow, custom tow, bills early extreme, custom extreme. Maybe its overkill but i got what i like.

I've got a TS 4 position chip with:

(1) stock-high idle , stock is for emissions and the hi idle works for running the A/C while parked

(2) economy , I normally go to work somewhere between 1 and 3 AM so I just flip to econo and set the cruise

(3) tow, use it on the way home from work when I have to deal with traffic

(4) extreme, way to much smoke for regular use but its fun to play with and show off

Blue Mule,
1) Stock - High Idle in one setting I didnt know that was possible. Could you explain how that works.

3) Why tow for traffic?

Please bar with me, This is all pretty new to me.
Thanks.
