Let me tell you the story about what prompted the purchase of a Fumoto...it was my own little Exxon Valdez as well.

I had the drain pan with just the little hole in the top. I got it situated underneath the oil pan and starting removing the plug. As I got the plug out and the oil is flowing, I DROPPED the plug. It bounced on the top of the drain pan, did a perfect 1-1/2, and lodged itself into the collection hole. The oil is HOT, and I can't get the little bugger out. 3 gallons of oil on the garage floor.

And to make matters worse, I only have one vehicle, and no kitty litter. So I've got to crawl around under the truck in my oil spill to finish changing the oil, then drive through the oil to get to the store for a 20 lb bag of kitty litter, which I found out when I got back home wasn't enough.

Now I place the Amsoil jugs under the Fumoto, and most of the time limit the spill to 3 or 4 drops.
