I just bought a 05 F-250 Crew Cab 4X4 6.0 (PowerStroke) with 169,000 miles on it in Houston,TX after attempting to pull my new 20ft (flat bed) trailer with a 8ft wide 9ft high 18ft long container that I had to put on it (to get it to California) weighing in at 14,450 lbs with a little 97' chevy 1500 2X4 305cid.It only took about 5ft to realize that I was not going to make it home (with the trailer that is) with this chevy so I had to upgrade. After looking and driving atleast 15 to 20 of each Dodge,Chevy and Ford it was clear that ford by far was the tool necasary to do the job.It pulled that trailer like there was no tomorrow.
Now I am home and its time to learn the diesel.

:welcome4 starduster. Maintenance is the KEY to all diesels. Change all of your filters, the oil on top of the engine, the TWO fuel filters, one of the frame of the truck under the driver and one on top of the engine. And if course the air filter. These are expensive from Ford, but Home page has good prices of these and many other filters. Enjoy your new toy!
