Well last weekend I did a few mods to my truck and ever since it has been smoking blue and it progressively got worse until yesterday. I had install my pyro sensor preturbo and did the CCV mod. Yesterday evening I pulled everything off the truck and put it back to stock and it hasn't smoked a bit since. I have run the homegrown heck out of it and still no smoke. It sounded and ran fine the whole week and no lose of power either. Any suggestions? The only difference in my CCV mod to everyone elses is that I put a brass fitting on the end of the line that had a screen in it.:dunno

I think the pyro goes post-turbo..

and the blue smoke is probably the crankcase vapors... a couple of guys here have run them out the back of the truck below the bumper

run the ccv in to a catch/drip can
and see if the smoke stops.

the best location for the pyro is
pre-turbo (more accurate & comparable readings).

the "standard" location for the pyro-probe is
in the drivers side exhaust manifold (mostly cause
that keeps the wire/run short to the gauge)

some put the probe in an up-pipe via a band clamp,
same as you would in the down pipe.

I ran my probe post turbo for awhile and then moved it...
i know now, why its prefered pre-turbo. :sly

i doubt the pyro probe pre or post turbo is your issue...it
surely isnt injecting oil such that it would cause smoking.

btw the ccv mod is gonna vent oil...blow by basically.
w/out the ccv mode the "blow by" is recirculated thru
the motor (or intercooler...depending on the motor/year).

w/ the ccv mod your venting that blow-by (probably to the
ground or thru the exhaust)...depending on how much blow by
you have (older motors smoke more...potentially) i would expect
that youll see some smoking or haze.

you can expect to see more smoke/haze when your WFO.

The line that I hooked to the crank case vent was running down the chasis and it stoped right before the fuel tank. But now like I said I hooked it back up into the air intake hose that goes to the turbo like it was from the factory. It still hadnt been smoking. I was thinking that it might have just been the fuel causing the smoke.:dunno I also installed my DYI intake today also and MAN I can feel the difference. My pyro is installed preturbo!
