Hey guys, in my 06 F-350 I have the standard 6-disc in dash cd player. I would like to have a factory navigation radio but I don't even know if that was an option in 2006. My wifes 07 expedition has the navigation radio in it, will the 07 nav radios fit into my 06 super-duty? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it was an option. you likely could do better for the same or LESS money w/ an after market unit.

if your lookin' for the "flat screen" vs. pop-up unit look at kenwood & pioneer.

to determine what your options are
(aftermarket wise) go to Find Car Audio/Video Gear that Fits Your Vehicle at Crutchfield!

the problem w/ the factory nav set up is there just arent that many
"used" units floating around (people get that & keep it, typically)...
so if you do find one (ebay etc) youll pay dearly for it.

the factory system wont have nearly the options (nor the sound quality)
that an aftermarket set up will.

an aftermarket system shouldnt look any less "factory" than the FORD
set up.

thanks for the info bushpilot, I definitely don't want one of the fold out screens. I am not a fan of the looks of them.

Factory Nav. wasn't an option until '08 on Super Duty's. Your best, and most affordable option would be aftermarket.

Bush, not trying to start an argument, but, I know for sure Nav. wasn't available in 05, and I'm 99% sure it wasn't available til 08. I have Ford brochures dating back to 04, and they don't list Navigation anywhere. Also if nav. was available in 05, my truck would have it, as I ordered it with literally every available option for 05.

thanks bush, you are always a great source of information.

Right now I am thinking about just getting the Pioneer AVIC-D3, not expensive as crap but has the functions that I am looking for.

w/ the pioneer stuff you can add-on (easily) when & if you want...
its the nice part about the pioneer p-bus architecture youre
fairly well protected (goin' forward) as new technologies come out.

Very true bush, I am looking at the package deal with Xrutchfield right now. That would allow me to go ahead and hook up my XM, iPod, as well as use my cell phone without have to put on my ear piece every time I get in the truck. Which will be awesome.
