I am a new member and have a 1989 F 250 7.3 L with 225,000 miles. It has been from the East coast to Baja (3 months) and Alaska (3 months) and across to US twice. I am having an Alternator problem with a noise I can't identify. There is a beep-beep-beep coming from the engine compartment, I think from the right fender area. You can barely hear it over the engine noise, but when I shut it down, the beeping continues for 30 seconds or more. What is it? And does it have anything to do with no voltmeter reading and no alternator voltage at the batteries? I would appreciate your help. navy444
