If your in the US you should have been runnin the ULSD by late May.....we've been running it since April

I believe the official date was Oct.15, at least that's what the news said Sunday. We've had ULSF since around August. I don't believe LSF is available anymore, for highway use at least.

I don't worry about the sulfur though, I'm running B20.:sweet

BP refineries have been shipping ULSD for about 3 years on the west coast. Most any diesel bought at Arco would have been ULSD during that time. By the time I found that out I had already ran over 20k on it. Never noticed any performance difference. Supposedly the additives provide better lubricity than the previous #2, and ULSD is higher cetane, due to the higher fuel density.

If you go to a Shell station that sells diesel, they have a brochure thing that tells a lot. Lots of FAQs.

Power will indeed be slightly down at WOT due to lower BTU rating.
Will work fine on pre-07 trucks (but no comment on possible damages)
Will not be available in all areas of the country for some time (like a couple of years or something) so if your buying an 07 truck, you MUST fill with ULSD and it may not be available in your area.
