With 50,000 on the clock and a lot of shaking going on,I dumped the factory
steering stabilizer and installed a new Rough Country Stabilizer in its place.
The Rough Country unit is way bigger in Dia. than the factory unit. Its like driving a new truck! The 08 Superduty comes with a unit about the size of a toothpick and they expect it to stop that huge front suspension from shaking.:)

If these trucks are aligned properly AND maintained properly, they should not shake. Every truck I have owned, beside this Super Duty, has NOT had a dampener on it. They did not shake. My current trucks dampener is the original one and I have 115,000 miles. It is still good, but not great. I will leave it for a while longer...

I've gone through 2 stabilizers already in 75.000 miles, and I know of others who have too....

I went through the original stabilizer in 35,000, a Napa replacement (made by Monroe) in another 30,000 and finally switched to a Moog with lifetime warranty. My stabilizers were just leaking, no shaking.

likely not JUST the steering stabilizer..
you should change the shock absorbers also at that mileage
dump the twin-tube OE design for a mono-tube high pressure
