First mod will be the high idle on AUX 4. Then guages and maybe a SCT later on.

Gotta get all my radio gear back in and wired up, no HAM radio makes me jittery :D

Bill, I am not sure how I am going to mount antennas yet, my Yaesu FT-7800 has a removable head so I thought about mounting the brains under the rear seat and remote the head unit into the flip out storage tray under the dash. Remote speaker down there somewhere as well.

As for antennas I'm not real sure, I need to look at some different mounts for my NMO Diamond.

Got any ideas??

Oh yeah, how are these engines and noise on HF?? If it's like my 7.3 I might as well forget HF

I always recommend roof mounts but on your brand new rig I dunno about that.

You could do a NMO trunk lip mount(no drill) on the hood nearest the black cowling an alternative would be top headache rack mounted on L brackets.
"Oboy" has his NMO 2 meter/440 antenna/s mounted on top of the headache rack,see photo attachment;

Thanks Bill, no holes in the roof though :eek: :eek:

I'll be heading over to the local HRO to investigate mounts tomorrow and some other cool things as well :thumbs

Got the high idle done tonight, took longer to remove the fuse panel than it did to hook everything up :sweet

1 mod down still a long way to go though.
