No A/C no heat???

I bought a 06 f350 King ranch and when i bought it i noticed that the A/C fan would cycle down to low speed from high speed by itself, since it said it was in auto mode i thought that was normal, something like it had gotten to the correct temp so it lowered the fan speed. Now i got in this morning and the entire read out on the dash is blank and none of the buttons work no heat or A/C anybody ever have this happen and what could i trouble shoot to try and fix it.
Thanks for the help in advance, its not a huge problem just dont want to pay the dealer if i dont have to.

I have had that happen a couple of times in mine but I shut the truck off and restart then works so have not done anything about it yet. Not sure what it is causing the prob.

I'm entirely familiar with ATC on Ford a/c's...

they SUCK.

sounds like you have a control head going south..

Is the "ATC Head" the unit i look at in the dash and can i replace it by myself???

My display goes blank once or twice a year, it's done it since 2005 and not that big of an issue.

Mine will come back on if I switch the headlight switch back and forth from the "auto" position to the "on" position a couple times. It will also come back on when I restart the truck.
