NO boost!

Driving home lastnight I lost all boost. I was about 23 psi when I lost it. So i pulled over thinking I blew off the boost tube. It was still on then I got worried. I let the truck sit for a bit thinking she got too hot in the seld pull that I just left. Then I started driving again still No boost and now white smoke I think(it was hard to tell, it was dark out n I was n he middle of no where). Then I looked at my egts. At 60mph they were 800 so I slowed down to 40ish and turned on the heat to limp on home another 15 miles or so...This morning I went out to the truck and it fires up, but still NO boost and now BLACK smoke at partcal throttle..Any ideas???? PLEASE HELP!

sounds to me like you may have a stuck wastegate. or even worse a blown turbo.

pop the intske off at the turbo and see if it looks or feels bad. I would also look to make sure the "Y" pipes in the engine valley were still on. They can pop off easily. I hope its as simple as a boot. Good luck

we puled off the turbo and shaft was broken and the housing is toast. So i will be looking for another turbo.

Ouch!! well I hope you wont have to break the bank. sorry bout the turbo. Sounds like you had fun before it died
