Check to see that there actually is fuel in the fuel filter cannister and or fuel tank. Then move on to the CPS or the IDM. How old are the batteries? She might crank just fine but if the batts are weak she wont fire either.

I'm working on this unit from a distance.
I work on 7.3's and 6.0's for an ambulance service and I've got a new mechanic I'm over seeing in another location in Tennessee and seems to think glow plugs are the cause all the time.So I've been giving him things to Diag to find the problem so you can say I'm working with a handicap because since I put this in he happen to leave the ignition on for 30 min and happen to have gone back to the unit and it started up so I think he just didn't cycle the glows enough.

Ignition on for 30 miinutes? Holy cowsers, the GP cycle is probably only 2 minutes so by the time he got back to start it, the combustion chambers would have been cold again I would think.

thats what I had thought but this boy I have that is trying to figure it out may not have cycled them enough the first time but this unit is in a temp controled shop over nite so I'm thinking some how it still could be operator and mechanic malfunction at my other location.

Just for your info. Next time.
First check I/P fuse #8---30amp.
It feeds the fuel heater and coil for gpr in E-Series.
