33x12.50's will touch/rub one another on stock wheels. What I would do is put 33x12.50's on the front and put 33x10.50's on the rear. The 10.50's should clear one another just fine. I've seen a couple trucks done like this the front end looks mean with the wider tires.

What you might have to do this is put 285/75R16's on the rear and 305/70/R16's on the front. It doesn't matter what width they are as long as the outside diameter is the same.
285/75/R16=33x10.50R16
305/70R16=33x12.50R16

I have never owned a duallie and no nothing about them but is there a way to increase the distance between the two wheels without having to purchase new wheels. Like some sort of spacer or does this affect the ability of the wheel to hold the weight or stay on the hub.

The reason I ask is I made a posting of truck I saw yesterday and it was a F-550 but it must have had 40" super mod bogger tires on it and don't know the width but they were really really really wide

You can buy spacers that go inbetween the dually rims to space the tires apart but I'm not sure where you can buy them. It's much easier to find 285/75's than 33x10.50's.

A 285/75rR16 is not a 33x12.50x16. It is a 33x11.50x16. I would strongly recommend you not to put a 305/70R16 tire on a stock rim. I believe a stock dually rim is only 6.5" wide. A 12.5" wide tire is not recomended on anything narrower than a 8" rim. I had a friend who put these on his F-250 on stock rims (16x7) and all he did was wear the centers of the tires out. I have the 285/75R16's on stock rims on my truck and have to watch the tires and inflation to make sure that they wear evenly. The 285's would probally be ok on the front but w/o a spacer on the rears, I'd bet they'll rub with any sort of load on the truck.

17 inch wheels makes it even harder to get the size that you want. However a 285/70R17 is a 33"x11.5" if that helps any. The reccomended rim width for that tire is 7.5"-9"

If it has the stock 245/70R17's (30.6"x9.8") on it right now you should be able to fit 265/70R17's (32"x10.9") any bigger and I would think they will be rubbin' sidewalls.
