Question on off lack of power

i recently purchased a 2005 f350. last nite I started it up and let it warm up went to go no power at all started idling rough like it was missing floored would barely go 55 mph and smelled really bad after about 15 min it cleared up. every now and then a little sluggish from the start. whats up any ideas.

EGR Valve maybe sticking or dirty. You can clean it by taking it out (three small bolts) and clean it out using Carb Cleaner. Do not soak the upper part in Carb Cleaner; that is an electronic coil and they don't like carb cleaner. Wire brush the bottom part and re-install. Drive it like you stole it!
