My 7.3 01 psd has 149,000 miles on it. I have an 80hp superchip. My mileage has been terrible with the chip installed. Would it be a good Idea to have the overhead adjusted? Truck seems to run ok no ball of fire but looking for mileage.

is that all u have is the chip? no intake or exaust? cus u should get better mileage with anything u do for performance on a diesel, its not like a gas truck, when was the last time u changes ur fuel filter?

That is very strange, when I installed (80hp) my Superchips I got 2-3 MPG better17-18MPG and if you go by the lie-o-meter it says 21MPG (it used to be dead on if you reset it after each tank) when I run on 110HP setting lie-o-meter says I get closer to 24MPG. When in actual I get 16-17MPG (driving habits

No ajustment nessasary. Change the filters, Fuel, Oil, Air... drive the hell out of it.
