That thar's a module maker for cotton. A tractor usually pulls it and drives the hydraulics via PTO. The boll buggy or stripper dumps the baskets into the bin. The yellow piece just behing the cab travels the length of the bin and carries a hydraulic cylinder that raises the piece that compresses the cotton, up and down, up and down, back and forth many times. Pretty monotonous job! Then when compressed to satisfaction, open the tailgate and pull forward using tractor power.

Reminds me of those carpenters who put like 8 rolls of carpeting and padding in a 1/2 ton, and proceed to "sway" down the highway.
