Passenger side IC pipe

Has anyone looked at the IC pipe on the passenger side of the truck where it passes by the radiator and into the engine compartment? Man! Talking about a bad design. If you haven't noticed this, you need to go out side and take a look! Anybody know of a replacement for this? I'm sure there is some gains that can be had. This is a super restriction in air flow IMHO.

If an intake elbow on a 6.0 can gain 10 hp/tq, then this is worse than it looks. The flattened part is bad enough, but that dent in the side of the flat part chokes it down to nothing.

i havent even seen under the hood of one of these.....ill need to flag someone down that drives by in one.

has anyone tried running it with the filter cover off? any diff in power or fuel econo.

maannn I'm sorry. I was talking about the 1" rubber tube the feeds the filter housing on the passenger side. Like a warm air intake or something like that.
