I have a 93 f 350 4x4 crew cab lb that I need to use for a work truck. The truck is in too good a shape ( rust wise ) just to scrap it. The truck came with a 460 but that thing was a pig on gas. Now I have Two 1999 7.3L powerstroke motors to make into one good motor and I need to know what mount will fit the motor to that frame or if I can even stuff that year motor into that year frame. Are the mounts for the powerstroke the same for the idi motor cause I have a scrap 1988 7.3L truck for parts if necessary.:thanks

Not sure if the mounts are the same.Good chance they are. But you need the computer and all the wiring for the PSD to make it work.:goodluck

You may want to check the length and width of both engines. Seams I have heard that the 7.3 is longer and you have to move the radiator forward a inch or so. Be sure to do a lot of measuring before you start this job.
I am sure someone will be along soon to let you know.

The whole front end is apart now and waiting for the possible motor swap. If the early PSD motors have the same turbo set up as the 99 + motors then I'm hopin' I'll be good. Everything else will be put in after the motor.

Make very clear written notes of the wiring from the donor vehicle, and take a multitude of digital photos. Marking wires and writing notes is a pain in the ass, so are the photos, but will be invaluable when it comes time to put it all together.
