Just drive it. Because of the work you've done.. the lines probably have more air in them than you think. It'll take a while (miles) for all the air to get purged out.
Fill the tank and drive it.

Also.. you might wana check yer filter(s) in a couple hundred miles too. Whenever we violate the integrity of these fuel systems.. all kinds of crap can come loose. Dezel fuel is inherently.... Dirty (sludge)
