priming the fuel system

Had to take my fuel lines off at the top fuel filter, anyone know how to go about priming the system? Truck ran fine before now running crappie and surges alittle when driving.

Cycle the key on and off a few times. You will hear the pump running and shut off. Do this a few times and start it.

Just drive it. Because of the work you've done.. the lines probably have more air in them than you think. It'll take a while (miles) for all the air to get purged out.

Fill the tank and drive it.

Also.. you might wana check yer filter(s) in a couple hundred miles too. Whenever we violate the integrity of these fuel systems.. all kinds of crap can come loose. Dezel fuel is inherently.... Dirty (sludge)
