question about my gauges

I just got my Recon Gauge system for my truck. on the website they said one is made for my truck. my problem is the instruction manual. it has instructions on how to install on Dodge, Chevy and ford but the years start at 99 for the fords. nothing for my 97. my question is : are the connections going to be the same for the 99 as is mine? or am I worrying for nothing
