I read the WIKI article and it said this mod is not recommended for "northern climates" I live in Nebraska and we sometimes get some really cold winters. Will removing the AIH hurt my truck in the winter?

No. I'm in PA and have had no problems with it out for over three years now. There is a set of parameters that need to be met before the heater is even turned on. I forget what they are now, but I don't thing my truck would ever meet them to activate the heater.

Take it out.

E-brake, trans in park, oil temp low, water temp low... There are about three others I cant...

Remove the dumb little thing and forget about it, the early 99's ran just fine without it!

mine's done too with a cummins drain pan plug machined off and drilled and tapped for boost gauge! I spent less than $5.00
