My Dad just got an '06 F250 and when he shifts it out of park, there is a long delay (3-4 seconds) after the shifter has been placed over R or D. Is this normal for this truck? The Dealer told him it was but who knows.

Fluid level okay? I've seen some interesting fluid levels coming from the assembly line.

Not on mine. These is a short delay of maybe .3 second but not 3-4 seconds. This is not normal.
