So, I have a 2001 f-450 and the radio went out in it. A friend of mine has a 2001 f-150 and he swapped the radio out in it for an upgraded one. He said I could have the factory radio if I wanted it. My question is, will it fit? Where do I go to find out this information?

I can see a difference in a lot parts from a 150 to a 450, but a radio. If I had to bet I`ll say it would work. I would try it.

Is it a double DIN? F-450 have a Double DIN radio. If so it probably would work.

It should work. I'd bet money on it. I don't like aftermarket radios in my trucks, so when is see a stock radio better than mine, I can usually get it cheap or free. On the superduty they changed to a bigger radio with different connectors, in 05, but an 01 in an 01 will work.
