Just curious if anyone had any ideas. The stock filter bowl has a thermostat where the fuel heater connects in the side of the bowl. The stock one closes around 32* which is fine for petro-diesel. I'm toying with the idea of finding an easy DIY way to raise the temp to 60* or so for homemade B100.

Maybe a snap disc switch on the outside of the bowl and solder the stock one closed? Would be cleaner if there was a way to replace the stock one with a higher temp version.

This really isn't a solution to your question but I'm thinking forward to winter too. If we have a cold winter I may run #2 with Stanadyne in the rear as start up fuel and home made B-100 in my front tank and pull the fuse on the 12v heater. My heated coolant loop will heat the B-100 to over 100*F without the 12v heater.
