rear end ratio

Guys--- I am trying to determine what rear end ratio my truck has ( 03 7.3L ). There are tags on the rear end. How do I decifer the numbers to tell me the info???

On one of the tags, there should be a 3 73 in the tag somewhere or a 4 10. You'll see them once you read through the letters/numbers.

Tell us what truck you have, F250/F350?, 4x4?, SRW/DRW? We can tell you what rear gear is in it.

Most 4x4 diesels have 3.73's one tag should specify the required fluid the other should have the gear specs on it if not if you pull the diff cover off it is stamped in the ring gear if its a 4x4 there is also a sticker (if it's still there) on the backside of the front diff that has the gear ratio on it
