Got a customer that needs a quote on a 1983 AM General 6X4 Semi Truck.

They are not sure of the weight. They have been told 22k or 50k, I believe it would be closer to 22k. Oh, it doesn't run happy, happy, joy, joy. :rant

22,000 pounds sounds right, but not 50,000 pounds. I had a dump truck (ten wheeler) that tared at 22,700.

You will have to use a lowboy to haul this, won't you? Cost of getting it loaded and unloaded also.

Yes, or a roll back type trailer for heavy equipment that has a BIG winch on it.

When you have an INOP vehicle, I always figure in extra for that.
In this case, it would be alot extra.

22k might be right but could be more check the inner doors to see what placard says, if all else fails get the model number and call a mil base and get ahold of motor t and ask them to pull up weights on it

that would work if he had a rig set up for flat towing that much wieght with onboard air to be able to use the pulled trucks brakes if theyre still in decent operable condition(no bad holes or leaks in lines)
