HELP! Trying to remove my passenger rear window regulator. I've got the four rivets out. I removed the bolt that holds down something (a rod that goes up to the top of the door.....but when I try to pull the regulator out, it's connected to this rod somehow....what's the trick? :dunno:dizzy

I stuck my arm through the opening, and while pulling the regulator upwards, I pushed that rod to the inside and backwards. Had to keep holding it in while the regulator passed by it. Hard to do with just one hand. I could have removed the door handle assembly, but I didn't want to have to mess with the rivets holding that thing on...

If you really like dealing with rivets try working on GM vehicles. GM is the Master of Rivets !

AMAN!!! to that. Ford likes the rivets to hold the door glass onto the Window Regulator on some cars and you cant use bolts. I try to replace the rivets with bolt if I can...:D
