Replacing needles bearings?

Well i have it all back together now. I reasoned that they've probably been in the condition they are in for quite a while and I've not ever seen any debris in the shaft etc. so I just left it as it was. Hardly use the 4wd and certainly not at high speed and deep mud is not where my heavy a#$ truck needs to be anyway!
