took a rock in the truck windscreen the other week
while at da beach.

"bought me sum..." fix-a-windshield from the makers
of fix-a-flat (aka SHELL oil company)

I'm impressed...repair has taken me all of about
20-25min (cause I'm anal 'bout OUR transportation
vehicles among other things).

short term results are very positive...no signs
of the bulls-eye what so ever...at the moment ill
call it 9bucks well spent ! (avail. at autozone
and the likes) !

I used something similar on one of my previous vehicles. I dont recall the brand of the product but I know I got it at Wal Mart. Same results you speak of, if you knew where to look you could find the original ding in the windshield, but it never spiderwebbed out from the crack. When I first boought the stuff I was pretty skeptical if it would work as claimed, but for the price I really didnt have anything to lose.

Interestingly enough my "blemish" is back...almost looks like it
needs another application...its not growing or anything just more
visible that it was after i applied the stuff <several months ago>

If you fix it ten times you are way ahead - I just paid 165 for an entirely new windshield 2 weeks ago. Of course, I had a 2.5 foot crack running all the way across.

I paid a professional for a ding repair on my VW. It broke the windshield. They credited the cost of the ding repair to the cost of the new windshield ($225 installed) -mad
