This noise only happens when braking. The steering wheel tracks nice and straight with no vibration or pulling to one side.

I checked the Powerslot rotors - no warpage.
I checked the Hawk Pads - even wear accross the pads.
I checked and greased the caliper slide pins.
I replaced the front inner and outer bearing sets, repacked, retorgued frt wheels - rumbling noise is still there when braking.

I am wondering if this noise could be from the rear axle bearings or could it be from a bad u-joint(s) and /or center bearing ready to go south?

Any inputs would be appreciated, as I am running out of options.

It might be a normal thing for slotted rotors.

My son has slotted rotors on his truck, and it rumbles when he brakes. It isn't the same as the "warped rotor" vibration, no vibration, steering wheel shaking or brake pedal pulsation. Just a slight rumbling sound.
