Ok,

I ordered an AutoEnginuity Scan Tool on Dave B. recommendation and I love it!

I was anxious to use it so I skipped the manual after getting the software on my Laptop and plugged it in.

Now that I downloaded the data I want to know what steps I should take to make sense of all the output!

Hard Engine starts without being plugged in when it is 40F or colder. Turbo seems to crap out once engine is up to temperature....when under hard acceleration.

Enhanced Powertrain CAN

P0264 Cylinder 2 Injector Circuit Low

P0270 Cylinder 4 Injector Circuit Low
P0273 Cylinder 5 Injector Circuit Low
P0276 Cylinder 6 Injector Circuit Low
P0279 Cylinder 7 Injector Circuit Low

P0405 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit Low

Has anyone used the Scan tool to recalibrate the FCIM or PCM?

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks,

FC

I know of no way to "recalibrate" your FICM or PCM. You can reset them by unhooking the batteries for ten minutes and then re hooking it all back up. You have a fuel problem to begin with. HPOP? (High Pressure Oil Pump) What year and how many miles are on your truck?

Updated my Signature. not appearing on thread. What I am really trying to understand is does low circuit = faulty wiring, solenoid or injector? When I do the buzz test the injectors are heard loud and clear.

Watched a video showing how to change the oil in the top reservoir of the truck and how this can be the single most common cause of premature injector failure. I will try this out along with the replacement of the glow plugs, but I was thinking if I am pullings things apart, now is the time to replace an injectors as well.

Circuit low means that there is no signal where one is expected. It does not necessarily point at any one problem, like a bad injector. Reading the fault code descriptions is a fine art in itself. I don't have it yet. The buzz test tells me that the injectors are good. Good luck.
