SCT EXTREME TUNER and PC based tuning program

I'm still looking for answers with little or no results to show for it. I was trying to see what could be done with the extreme tuner and the PC program. I have written to SCT in FL. but my questions have not all been answered. So, I'll try something different here. Has anybody here used the PC based custom tuning program in conjunction with the extreme tuner? If so what did you have to buy in addition to the PC program to connect to the tuner? Is it possible to change small parts of the vehicles control program? I would like to be able to change the spool up response of the turbo. I am not really interested in boosting HP and torque as much as improving throttle response and other little differences. Does the custom tuner give me access to turning the PI back on? I have more questions but I will hold them back for those of you in the know that reply.

I think you got the answer on another board. I believe you still have to go to an authorized SCT tuner for diesel tuning at this point.
