My wife's truck has had the SES light come on twice over the last couple weeks. Each time it was the same code P1248 (failure to detect boost pressure). The truck does not run any different nor does it "act up" in any way. I have it cleared and the last time it came back in a bout a week. It has only done this since it has been cold (below 10 degrees).
Info on wife's truck: 2001 Excursion, 150k miles, 7.3 PSD, bone stock. Not for long hopefully. Any ideas on what could cause this code???

What kind of scanner are you pulling the code with? I ask because usually 1247's and 1248's and accompanied with other driveabilty codes and or concerns and im thinking its something that only the factory computers can look at. Anything involing a loss of power or running rough will throw these codes. I hate to say it but its worth taking to the dealer to get it looked at(I really dont hate to say that-thats how I eat).
