The Snap On unit is the one the garages use. It is more heavy duty and made for daily use. AE is on YOUR laptop and is not made for daily usage. Not "Heavy Duty" at all. They both read the same codes and I would imagine the Snap On unit does more than the AE unit. Price is much more for the Snap On unit.

I'm talking about a snap on mt2500. Why do you say AE is not made for daily use and that its not heavy duty?

No, not AE, but your laptop computer. If you have a good laptop, then use the hell outa it. AE will work all day, but will your laptop?

Laptops (which AE is used on) aren't made to be thrown around and get greasy like the snap-on computers. Unless you have a military grade laptop....shock, water, temp, dust resistant. And I think the snap-on modis cost like 7-8000, thats what one shop told me anyways.

I was wanting to get a laptop mount for my truck and I could have my radio, computer, dvd player, and diagnostic station all in one
