:dunno Looking to upgrade the sound in my 07 F350 6.0 CC King Ranch, but want to keep the sterring wheel controls. Looked at a sound processor (Crutchfield) for the factory radio followed by a decent amp and speakers. I'm not familiar with the sound processor aspect. Can anyone give me some info who may have done this or am I better off with a great deck and amp and lose the steering wheel controls. Thanks

Your better off with a great deck, and amp, and KEEPING your steering wheel controls, by using an adapter from PAC audio, they make them for most brands of radios, and allows you to still use all of the factory sterring wheel radio buttons.

TRY THIS ONE

ALPINE & JL Audio make factory integration/sound processors
that allow you to maintain the factory look & feel.

how ever those units arent entirely necessary to preserve the factory
steering wheel controls, if you use an after market head unit you
can STILL integrate (aka use and/or reprogram) the steering wheel
controls using PAC-Audios Steering Wheel Integration Interface (its
easier that the description makes it sound).

for security reasons you Might prefer the factory radio, connected to
one of the pre/processor units (links above)...or you can go w/ a
completely new aftermarket (removable) head unit.

either way you can STILL add your own BETTER AMPS & SPEAKERS.
