Where can I find the complete specs on the 1999 7.3 powerstroke? I see 235hp and 500 ft lbs torque and I see 275hp and 500 ft lbs of torque.
I've tried a google search and just get a bunch of BS. Can someone point me in the right direction?
thanks:burnit

Depends

If you have early 99, or later99, The later 99 has usally a 99+ designation on the fourms..

The 99+ had a bigger turbo and more cc on injectors, so the later 99 has more horse...

You will have to check your build date on your door tag to see which one you have,
I think 2/99 and after is the 99+

The horsepower is the same on the early and late 99's. IT was not until later in the 2000's that horsepower was increased.

Early 99 production ended on December 8th 1998. They also lost the catalytic converter for a while at least.

Interesting..i was under the impression that the horse power was picked up due to the programing and the bigger turbo...also the early 99 came with the wicked wheel that also dropped boost a few notches,

95_Stroker that is very interesting, no difference from 99-00, great reading,

Would you happen to know the stats of the early 99 to 99+

99 specs

Thanks 95_Sroker. My truck is an early 99. It was made in March. So it should have the same power as you indicated in your attachment?
